INFORM has been a pioneer of progressive solutions for many years and has made substantial investments in research and development. To safeguard INFORM’s investments, the company has decided to take legal action against any misuse of their technology patent.

Yesterday, INFORM filed a patent infringement suit at the state court of Düsseldorf in Germany. In this legal case, INFORM claims that respective products infringe the European patent EP 1 208 541. INFORM’s aims is to prohibit the future sale of such software products and to recover any damages from the past. A nullity suit has been filed against the patent.

“We are confident that we will win at the state court of Düsseldorf,” says Adrian Weiler, CEO at INFORM. “The state court of Düsseldorf already confirmed in writing that there are serious indicators for a patent infringement by a certain product. We will not tolerate that our protected innovations, developed by us for our customers, can be misused by others,” adds Adrian Weiler.
