The European ATM Security Team (EAST) is a non-profit organisation battling fraud, with members from across Europe joining together to fight ATM fraud.

EAST recently released its European ATM crime report covering 2014, which includes data from 29 countries covering 639,379 ATMs, which showed a continued increase in the number of physical attacks, malware and cyber-attacks on ATMs across Europe.

The aim of the FCS conference is to share best practice in the face of these evolving, expanding threats.
The conference agenda is set by national members, such as LINK, and will include contributions from regional and other international stakeholders.

EAST’s inaugural Financial Crime and Security Forum took place in 2013. Delegates from all over the world attended, including: law enforcement agencies; fraud prevention vendors; risk managers; independent ATM deployers and bank and financial institution representatives.

Delegates received information about all of the issues facing ATM owners, operators, card issuers and the police, as well as seeing recommended guidelines on preventing crime.
