Credit Suisse First Boston LLC (CSFB) and The Relegence Corporation today announced the launch of Relegence Connect, a new intelligence delivery product.

The product combines CSFB's proprietary mapping of company relationships and industry supply chains with Relegence's unique sourcing and filtering capabilities to help investors anticipate investment opportunities based on related news flow. Currently used by CSFB's research analysts, Relegence and CSFB plan to offer this exclusive tool to CSFB's buy-side clients in the next few months.

Relegence Connect's new, cutting-edge technology allows users to capture news not only directly related to a specific stock, but also on other companies that could be impacted. Leveraging their in-depth industry expertise, CSFB's equity research analysts have created a relationship database of customers, suppliers, competitors, equity investors, and partners for over 2000 companies. When relevant news or a key research call breaks, the database immediately identifies the impacted network, allowing users to make timely and informed investment decisions. Relegence's dynamic filtering capabilities allow users to choose their own sources, event types, and relevancies, so they are able to see only the business critical news and information they need.

"Our relationship with Relegence has been an important step in our effort to optimize the benefits of our in-house intelligence network by developing a unique tool that will help analysts think more laterally and understand better and faster the implications of news flow," said Stefano Natella, CSFB's global head of equity research. "We look forward to offering this powerful product to our buy-side clients."

"When major corporate news breaks, users of Relegence Connect will instantaneously benefit from the knowledge of how that event can potentially affect other companies in real-time," said Edo Segal, founder and CTO, Relegence. "This translates into a significant time advantage over the rest of the market that doesn't have access to this unique and automatic flow of information."

Relegence monitors, indexes and filters over 12,500 information services: local and international newswires, television & cable networks, regulatory feeds such as EDGAR and RNS. By not interrupting the workflow, Relegence Connect helps increase productivity and responsiveness, and produces more intelligent and strategic business decisions.
