ProPay adds Visa Checkout option

ProPay®, a TSYS® company, announced today that it has added yet another checkout option - Visa Checkout, an easy and secure way to pay online from Visa.

Enrolling in Visa Checkout is intuitive and simple, and consumers can store and use any Visa debit or credit card, as well as cards from other major brands. Once enrolled, consumers simply provide their username and password to complete the payment process, without re-entering card and address information or leaving the merchant’s website. Visa Checkout offers consumers a seamless and consistent payment experience across devices.

The online checkout experience continues to be a consumer pain point with shopping cart abandonment rates as high as 68 percent, according to research firm, eMarketer. In many cases, consumers click through multiple screens, filling out detailed information before completing a purchase. The problem is even more pronounced as devices become smaller, with 86 percent of shoppers never completing their purchases on mobile devices.1

“ProPay is pleased to offer Visa Checkout as one of its many checkout options," said Ryan Oakes, chief operating officer of ProPay. “With the addition of Visa Checkout, ProPay enables merchants with more than ten ways to accept payments so they may conduct transactions anytime, anywhere, in-person, online, and offline in a secure manner.”

Visa Checkout is easily integrated into a merchant’s e-commerce website. It also offers advanced risk tools monitoring user activity and authenticates customers before they make purchases, which helps reduce fraudulent transactions.

“With Visa Checkout, ProPay now offers its customers a fantastic way to accept payments from shoppers who have come to expect a quick and easy payment process online and on any of their connected devices,” said Sam Shrauger, senior vice president of digital solutions, Visa Inc.
