Worldline [Euronext:WLN], European leader in the payments and transactional services industry, announces today that it entered into a reseller agreement with Accellence (Thailand) Limited, a leading cards and payments systems integrator in Thailand
With this new reseller arrangement, Worldline strengthens its regional positioning by increasing its market share in the high-growth cards and payment sector in Thailand as well as to provide service continuity and greater support for its customers operating or entering into the Thai market.
Under the 5-year reseller agreement, Accellence will provide sales, distribution, support and project implementation for Worldline's Cardlink II card payment management solution and ASCCEND products. However, the agreement does not create a principal-agent relationship between the parties in Thailand.
Mr Tee Kee Ming, CEO of Worldline in APAC said: "The appointment of Accellence as a valued reseller represents a significant milestone in Worldline's expansionary plan in APAC, and at the same time underscores our steadfast commitment to the users in Thailand. Accellence is the leader with the largest market share in Cards & Payments solution in Thailand. We can leverage their in-depth local knowledge and highly qualified local team to establish a firm foothold in the dynamic card and payment business in Thailand." He also further added, "I'm confident that the synergy with Accellence will lead to more innovative solutions and better customer care for both our clients. In fact, the opportunities are immense!"
"The reseller arrangement with Worldline comes at an opportune time with the increasing uptake and convenience for electronic payments in the cities and regional areas. With Worldline's leading-edge, competitive electronic payment services and our very capable local team with strong on the ground knowledge and sound relationships with all payment associations, we are confident of gaining more market momentum by securing clients looking for multiple advanced card and payment capabilities and in-depth local knowledge as the competitive differentiator," said Mr Tanakorn Kalayanamit, CEO of Accellence.
