Beginning this October, Citi cardmembers will have the option to pay with their eligible Citi credit or debit card using their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Whether they are buying in stores or online from merchants in apps, payment happens in a single touch and Citi cardmembers will soon have another option to make purchases easily.

“Citi has a long history of delivering choice and value through innovation that meets our cardmembers’ needs,” said Barry Rodrigues, Head of Enterprise Payments at Citi. “We are looking forward to delivering to our cardmembers another way to simply and quickly make payments for a broad range of purchases such as buying a coffee, groceries or purchasing digital music.”

In October, Citi will be introducing to U.S. credit and debit cardmembers the ability to add their eligible Citi card to Apple Pay, which will transform mobile payments, creating an easy way to make purchases. By integrating Apple designed hardware, software and services, Apple Pay will create a unique and incredibly intuitive experience for Citi consumer credit and debit cardmembers.

“We know that consumers today are looking to make payments in a way that fits with their lifestyles. Citi is continuously looking for ways to enhance our cardmembers’ payment experience and our integration with Apple is one more way to deliver a convenient way to pay,” added Rodrigues.
