CFN Services, a leading provider of managed services for the capital markets, announces the availability of its accelerated UltraFast Market Data delivered over a microwave network between the New York and Chicago financial markets.
This accelerated market data solution follows CFN's integration of a fully operational wireless network acquired from a leading, global high-frequency trading firm into its Alpha Platform. With UltraFast Market Data, a broader spectrum of trading firms can now access real-time market data accelerated past traditional fiber at speeds more than 5.5 milliseconds faster between Chicago and New York.
CFN's UltraFast Market Data provides full-depth market feeds in native format, delivered direct from the source, via microwave networks accessible at strategic data centers in New York and Chicago. Trading firms can now access and normalize CFN's UltraFast Market Data at these locations as well as over two dozen global trading venues in key regions including Asia, Europe, North America and South America — leveraging the Alpha Platform's ultra-low latency fiber and metro wireless connectivity.
"The industry is tied to the paradigm of proprietary normalization of market data at the source. This is limiting as it only provides top-of-book quotes for the most liquid securities distributed over very expensive networks or dedicated private lines," says Mark Casey, President of CFN Services. "We are turning that model on its head, propelling trading firms to the next level of performance and delivering market data solutions not previously available."
CFN offers its suite of ultra-low latency wireless market data solutions under a flexible managed services model, at price points that are a fraction of prevailing market rates. This enables trading firms to greatly reduce the costs associated with low latency, high-capacity networks to move gigabytes of market data around the globe, while having access to market data at light speeds.
"This approach to wireless connectivity is making dedicated fiber connections obsolete for real-time market data," notes Guy Scott, CFN's Vice President of Global Sales for the Capital Markets. "Our UltraFast wirelireless market data solutions deliver nearly a 40 percent reduction in roundtrip response times, while meeting the demand for more complete native format feeds that might otherwise be slower over fiber."
CFN has plans to open more microwave bandwidth to deliver a diverse set of market data, including all major U.S. equities, credit and FX markets and news feeds.
