Shenzhen Stock Exchange chooses Kx for trading analytics in Financial Innovation Laboratory

Kx Systems, a 20-year leader in high-performance database and time-series analytics, has been selected by the Laboratory for Financial Innovation at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) in Shenzhen, China for trading analytics.

Kdb+ is going to be used by the Laboratory for Financial Innovation of SZSE to construct a data analysis platform for market risk assessment, analysis of market performance, trading simulations and other data analysis.

Jibao He, the Director of Information Management Department and Laboratory for Financial Innovation, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, said: "The Laboratory for Financial Innovation strives for excellence in the technology we use to monitor and report on the Shenzhen securities markets. Kdb+ will bring increased speed and scalability to our analytic capabilities as we continue to constantly improve and expand our systems."

The Laboratory for Financial Innovation is a part of the SZSE that provides market performance reports on key measures of the exchange's operations. It publishes important reference criteria for market construction of SZSE, and impacts measures adopted by the SZSE such as to reduce trading cost and to improve market liquidity and trading enforcement speed.
