TietoEnator has acquired Zait IT Services AB, an IT specialist within the healthcare and welfare sector.
The company has 43 employees located in Luleå and Stockholm and offers custom based system development, products as well as operation and maintenance services. The agreement supports TietoEnator's strategy to expand its business within the healthcare and welfare area by broadening its solution portfolio as well as its Swedish customer base. The completion date for the transaction is set for 31 August 2005.

With its solution Meddix, Zait is one of the market leaders in Sweden. Meddix is a product that enables to coordinate and bridge care plans between counties and municipalities. A number of counties and municipalities already benefit from the company's solution and services. Zait has shown positive results and good growth since its inception in 1999. Net sales in 2004 amounted to EUR 3.1 million.
