Kobil and Kurveyt Turk to co-market digital ID service

Kobil and Kurveyt Turk, one of the leading associate banks in Turkey, begin a new chapter in the field of partnerships in the financial world.

Under the partnership agreement of both companies, the products and services that have been jointly developed by Kuveyt Turk and Kobil in the research and development center of Kuveyt Turk, the first R&D center in the financial sector in Turkey and founded in 2010, will be presented to other financial services companies. The innovative modular mobile-ID-platform Kuveyt Turk will integrate into its IT security infrastructure will be activated as cloud service in the R&D center of Kuveyt Turk and will execute the banking activities of customers in Turkey and the gulf states in a secure environment.

Kuveyt Turk has been a customer of Kobil since 2008 and will, in cooperation with Kobil, work on innovative IT solutions for the financial sector in its research and development center, opened in 2010. With the m-Identity platform for application security technologies Kuveyt Turk is going to extend the partnership with Kobil in order to develop the innovative cloud service security project STS - Secure Transaction Signer and will use the extensive channels of Kobil for the sale of the products in Europe.

In addition to the internet branch channels, Kuveyt Turk, well proven in the area of modern banking services, is going to integrate its new platform into the IT security system as a second security system.

The communication between customer and bank, the basis for this platform, is made interactive, secure and binding the m-Identity product of Kobil and includes the most modern security algorithms for applications for mobile banking, device control, licensing and user login. m-Identity protects the devices against piracy, theft and other forms of manipulation, is, at the same time, integrated into the infrastructure of the bank and is thus making banking operations safer than ever before. Customers of banks, that integrated the m-Identity product into their systems, can use the secure communications platform m-Identity of Kobil instead of SMS which is not protected against attacks and rerouting. The solution of Kobil, developed to be usable on all devices and platforms of iPhone, iPad and Android, addresses all the customers' safety concerns and increases customer loyalty as it ensures absolute security guarantee and is therefore securing competitive advantages for the companies.
Apart from the YKB Bank in Holland and the Swiss Migros Bank, Banks such as the Denizbank, the Vakifbank, the Ziraat Bank and the A&T Bank, leading banks in the financial sector, use the m-Identity platform of Kobil for their own security.
