Beauchamp Financial Technology (BFT) announced today that it has rolled out FundManager, its flagship trading and portfolio management software product, to over 200 hedge fund management companies globally.

Stuart Farr, Chief Executive of Beauchamp Financial Technology, said, "We are delighted to have deployed our software to over 200 hedge fund management firms. We have achieved this in just over five years since the launch of FundManager. Serviced from our offices in the US, Europe and Asia, our client base is globally distributed and encompasses virtually all hedge fund strategies, with an increasing number of multi-strategy managers.

Increasingly, both new and existing clients are also deploying additional products from the Beauchamp suite to implement electronic trading and portfolio accounting, thereby enabling true front-to-back operations on a single platform, rather than on multiple platforms. Our clients run anywhere from one and several hundred funds on the system, including Separately Managed Accounts which are increasing in prevalence. Assets under management vary between $10M and $12Bn per manager and comprise over $60Bn in total.

The majority of our client base has locally-installed software, but 35 managers access FundManager remotely, via an incubator, service provider or our own eFM ASP service. Some managers have taken advantage of eFM as a cost-effective means of starting out before taking the software in-house. We expect additional uptake of the eFM as we roll out electronic trading as part of the ASP offering. We continue to listen to our clients and invest in the Beauchamp suite to ensure we maintain our leading position in the hedge fund software market."
