Ingenico, worldwide leader in payment solutions, announced that Roam, its affiliate and leading mobile commerce platform provider, partners with Thatcher Technology Group, a direct selling industry innovator, has selected its platform as the basis for its new mobile point of sale (mPOS) offering for direct selling organizations, on top of its powerful sales performance management software system.
The mPOS solution leverages ROAM's full capabilities: Application Programming Interfaces (API) enabling software interaction, fully PCI compliant payment gateway and mobile payment engine. This will enable Thatcher's customers to conveniently and securely accept debit and credit card payments, while enhancing customer buying experience and improving business efficiencies. ROAM's mobile commerce platform also helps reduce costs by enabling direct selling companies to avoid card-non-present transaction rates and reducing post-sale credit card declines and chargebacks.
Leveraging ROAM's flexible white labeling capabilities, the mPOS solution will offer direct selling clients custom-branded or Thatcher-branded card readers provided by ROAM.
We are very pleased to support Thatcher's efforts in applying new technology in innovative ways to better serve its customers," said Patrick Crosson, Vice President of Strategic Accounts for ROAM. "Mobile POS capabilities provide tremendous value to direct selling organizations, facilitating a consultative sales approach while accepting card-based payments."
We wanted to extend the scope of our Prowess software with new mPOS capabilities that would allow our direct selling customers to realize the immediate benefits and measurable ROI that this technology provides," said Dave Siembieda, President of Thatcher Technology Group. "Only ROAM could provide the security, customization and integration features we required. We're very excited to offer our customers this new mPOS functionality, and the feedback we've received thus far has been overwhelmingly positive."
