iBeacon technology which is developed with Apple licence has three components. First, iBeacon emulators placed at the stores.

Second, Apple’s iOS7 operating system compatible mobile wallet application. And last, the entegration between iBeacon and the iPhone4S and later models.

iPhone4S and later models mean 200 million handhelds in the world. iBeacon sends various personalized notifications to these handhelds ranging from greetings to promotional information.

For example, when the system realizes a user entering the store, it greets them with notifications like “Welcome!”; other personalized notifications aiming to simplify user’s life follow. One of the most significant features of iBeacon technology is enabling mobile payments.

TMOB CEO Rudi Dökmecioğlu comments on iBeacon based client recognition system as follows:

“This is the start of a totally new mobile era.  As TMOB, we are happy to be leading this era with our smart applications, worldwide clients and partners.  Our vision for mobile applications is that smart applications which are dynamic and which will ease the users life will take hold of current applications.  This demo has been the first of many following similar innovations. We will continue to lead with many more applications covering vast content and different flows serving for many sectors.”
