Based on x86 Linux servers, EXTURE+ is designed to provide enhanced performance reliability, expandability while minimizing development costs for member firms.

Specifically, the processing capacity of system has been upgraded to 160 million quotes per day -2 times the existing system - while reducing latency to a 70 microsecond benchmark from the current 20,000 microseconds. In order to increase disaster recovery capabilities, EXTURE+ will operate a 3-tier recovery system replacing its dual-server backup system. With increasing levels of high-frequency trading, the new system will also provide functions to limit number of excess quotes as well as a kill-switch to cancel erroneous orders. With the development of core technologies in EXTURE+, KRX expects to strengthen its position as a global financial technology services provider in the exchange industry while promoting the competitiveness of the Korean financial markets.
