The solution was implemented expeditiously using KAG Best Practice, the SimCorp Dimension solution that is designed specially for medium sized asset management companies.

A mere six months after implementation, Lupus alpha is registering efficiency gains thanks to SimCorp software's front and back office applications. For example, the use of standardised software and interfaces and the resulting flawless media compatibility have increased the efficiency of Lupus alpha's business processes. Despite the relatively brief implementation period, SimCorp Dimension was able to (among other things) recompute all 4000-plus prices from last year's funds history while migrating from the old system, thus allowing for decommissioning of the old system during the current accounting year. The Lupus alpha advisory mandate is slated for migration to the new software in the very near future.

"SimCorp's Best Practice approach was the ideal solution for us when it came to implementing software of this magnitude," noted Lupus alpha partner Matthias Biedenkapp. "This solution enabled us to decommission our funds accounting system within six months."

Preconfigured version for medium sized asset management companies

SimCorp Dimension ideally meets the specific requirements of medium sized asset management companies thanks to the KAG Best Practice solution. The parameters for all relevant financial instruments and functionalities such as account frameworks and calculation routines are preconfigured in the program, which still allows ample leeway for customisation.
