MarketXS, a leading provider of market data distribution technology and terminal solutions, today announced the successful implementation of its quote feed in IEX.nl and debeurs.nl, among the largest financial portals in the Netherlands.
The IEX websites deliver a wide variety of information services to retail investors, including quotes, news, market commentaries, discussion groups and investor competitions.
Connecting to the Finance Engine(tm), MarketXS' hosted real-time ticker plant, for global exchange data from Comstock, the IEX.nl websites deliver snapshot and streaming prices, delayed and real-time, and intraday, history and Level 2 information. IEX.nl migrated their financial portal to MarketXS in a period of just one month, realizing a substantial reduction in Total Cost of Ownership and adding the flexibility to make data available to mobile applications and to easily integrate any additional data feed.
With its Software as a Service (ASP) concept, MarketXS allows portals and financial institutions to outsource their market data infrastructure and focus on core business. MarketXS customers directly access the Finance Engine through an API available for Java or Microsoft(r) environments or as an XML feed.
The single API provides a standardized interface to normalized data from both vendors and internal sources, including quotes, news, research and fundamental information. The API also delivers a range of readily available business logic including instrument lookup, ranking (market movers), charting, history and many other functions, allowing developers to rapidly construct a financial website or integrate an existing application without the need to parse, interlink and maintain the raw input as provided by the typical data source.
