Looking for a system that is in line with the demands of its members, Discovery Federal Credit Union ($127 million; 9,914 members; Wyomissing, PA) has signed with credit union core processor Corelation Inc. to implement its person-centric KeyStone core processing system. Discovery will look to convert to KeyStone in February 2015.

Discovery will be able to leverage KeyStone's person-centric database design that displays a member's entire relationship with the credit union, allowing staff to create a closer bond by providing a clear picture of each member's individual needs. The credit union will also incorporate Corelation's new KeyInsight CRM module, along with its business intelligence tool, a true 24-hour processing system, and its vendor agnostic environment - which will allow Discovery to take advantage of KeyBridge, Corelation's XML API connection to the outside world.

"We were looking for a system that could easily be learned by staff, while providing state-of-the-art service modules for the membership," Discovery President and CEO Ed Williams states. "We were looking for technology that first focused on the member and the member's needs and desires - along with a core processing system that is flexible to allow for expansion into new services for our members without having to spend many hours, days, weeks, and months implementing these services. We feel that Corelation's KeyStone provides this flexibility."

Williams adds that KeyStone will allow the credit union to determine what new services can be provided to its members and will interface with third party service providers of the credit union's choosing. "I also feel the member experience will be enhanced because of the way KeyStone will allow us to service the member in a more efficient manner - in the way that the member wants to access their accounts at Discovery," he says.

According to Vice President and CIO Michele Smith, the credit union is looking forward to Corelation's new CRM system to help Discovery manage its interactions with members and connect them with the products and services that best meet their needs.

"Because the system was built from the ground up using the most current technology, we will be in a good position to provide the services our membership is lookiking for now and in the future," Smith explains. "Easier integration to third parties will play a big part in us extending our product and service offerings. We want to 'wow' our members when they interact with us. The information provided to our staff through KeyInsight will allow us to do just that."

"Having Discovery join our KeyStone family is a big win for both parties," Corelation President Theresa Benavidez says. "We get a wonderful credit union and our first in Pennsylvania."
