ERN will use the data center to host its first financial institution clients that are using its big data analytics platform Looop on a managed service basis. Data protection, security and scalability are paramount to banks and this is seen as a key step in ERN's strategy to serve enterprise clients across the Asian region.

Looop, launched in February 2013, is being adopted by clients across Asia and Europe as the big data platform of choice for transactional data with its unique shopping basket analysis capabilities and vast scalability, geo-fencing and real-time decision making capabilities.

"Singapore is our regional HQ and was the obvious choice for our first Tier 4 data center in Asia. Data protection and the security of our client's data is our no 1 priority. This investment shows our commitment to ensuring the highest possible standards when delivering solutions for our clients. Singapore is the first of 6 data centers planned in the pipeline for the next 24 months," said Brian Thom, CMO and Head of Asia for ERN.

ERN recently announced a three-year strategic partnership with FICO (NYSE:FICO), a leading predictive analytics and decision management software company. ERN will embed FICO's marketing solutions within its real-time big data analytics platform Looop.

ERN has secured $5.6m in seed funding to date and has offices in London, Singapore and Silicon Valley.
