Even private individuals can sign up to accept card payments. payleven offers its customers a mobile Bluetooth card reader which operates via an app on their smartphone or tablet, enabling them to take card payments wherever and whenever they want.

"Due to a high penetration of card payments, Spain is on the way to becoming a cashless society", says Alston Zecha, COO and founder of payleven. "Our solution helps small and medium sized business to fully profit from this development as we keep it affordable and uncomplicated."

payleven works without any contract, fixed fees or long registration process. payleven emerges as an attractive new solution, especially when compared to traditional card terminals with their high costs and complicated paperwork. Only a few days after purchasing the card reader, merchants can begin to take payment and will only be charged 2.75% per transaction. The card reader itself is currently available for a special introductory offer of 69 Euros (excl. VAT) via www.payleven.es. Soon, the device will also be available in Apple stores across Spain as well as online.

The payleven Chip & PIN card reader works in conjunction with an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. There is no need for a stationary internet connection as the device is truly mobile, operating via 3G, Wlan or GPRS. The transmission process itself is similar to the used by a traditional POS-terminal. Receipts for consumers can be sent immediately via email or be directly printed via an optional Bluetooth printer. Furthermore Chip & PIN is the safest solution for mobile card payments on the market as it requires payment authorization via PIN.
