Nearly eight thousand Future POS customer locations can now offer mobile payments in a variety of checkout scenarios including pay-at-the-counter, pay-at-the-tablet/handheld and pay-at-the-table. The certified solution also enables Future POS customers to benefit from a number of other compelling capabilities including tender steering to lower cost payment instruments, distribution of offers to drive more frequent customer visits and higher average ticket size, and a more secure payment mechanism that leads to less card fraud and fewer charge backs.

"There is no denying the impact of mobile at the point of sale," said Steve Pritchard, Dealer Manager at Future POS. "It delivers higher service levels and drives deeper customer engagement in multiple ways. Part of that engagement involves new ways of marketing to consumers when and where restaurants and hospitality service providers can add the most value -- in the restaurant and at the point of sale. The integration with Paydiant provides our customers with all the benefits and promise of mobile wallets including increased customer loyalty, improved operational efficiency and reduced payment costs. And best of all, it's available today."

Consumers can use any iPhone® or Android™ smartphone to download the restaurant's or hospitality service provider's mobile wallet app and link their preferred payment cards to the wallet. Customers then simply scan a QR code presented to them at the point-of-sale or on a tablet running an instance of Future POS at the table. From there, customers use their mobile device to choose which offers to redeem and which card type to use to complete the transaction. Future POS restaurants can also accept payments from and distribute offers to customers using mobile wallets issued by Paydiant's bank and financial institution partners. Paydiant's cloud-based mobile payment process ensures security by eliminating the storage of any personal or account information on the phone itself or passing any of that information through the POS system.

"The mobile wallet is about much more than payments," said Chris Gardner, co-founder of Paydiant. "It strengthens customer loyalty by increasing convenience, personalization and value in the consumer relationship. Paydiant's software-only, cloud-based solution delivers these benefits to retailers and hospitality service providers using their existing POS infrastructure."
