Trading Technologies (TT) and CBOE Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) today announced CFE products are now trading on TT's X_TRADER platform.

All X_TRADER users have the ability to trade futures on all 19 CFE products, including futures on the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), futures in the Russell 1000 and Russell 2000 indexes, as well as the twelve recently launched CBOE PowerPacks sector indexes. The connection from TT's X_TRADER platform to CFE was achieved using Financial Information eXchange (FIX) Protocol, an open-standard protocol that is widely used in the equities industry.

"CFE is a young and growing all-electronic exchange that is steadily building liquidity, and we are pleased to offer TT customers the ability to trade CFE's products. A number of X_TRADER users have already begun trading on CFE and we expect more to come," said Harris Brumfield, TT's CEO.

"Traders are embracing CFE not only for its innovative products - like futures on volatility and variance - but also for the efficient electronic platform in which their trades are executed," said Patrick Fay, Managing Director, CBOE Futures Exchange. "As volume and liquidity continue to grow, a major strategic initiative for the exchange now is to broaden CFE's customer base. Connecting the futures trading community to CFE's marketplace through TT's X_TRADER platform will expand the universe of potential CFE customers and assist us in achieving this key objective."

In addition to CFE, TT has developed connections to several exchanges, including the Big Four futures exchanges. TT's trading gateways are among the fastest and most reliable in the industry, and TT will continue to support and evolve them. The gateways are accessible via TT's X_TRADER order entry screen and to non-X_TRADER users through TT's FIX Adapter.
