NetEconomy, the leader in real-time enterprise risk monitoring solutions for the finance industry, announced today it is the first anti-money laundering software vendor to obtain staff-wide certification from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).

NetEconomy staff, including management, sales, marketing, services, support, and research and development, received the elite 'CAMS' Anti-Money Laundering Credential by ACAMS, the world's leading organization of professionals in the anti-money laundering (AML) field.

The CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) designation is only awarded to professionals who successfully complete a rigorous, proctored examination focused on money laundering/terrorist financing methods, the best practices to stop these crimes, the key legislation in place worldwide, global AML standards and developing defenses for financial institutions to stop terrorist financing and money laundering. Less than 1,200 people in the world have been able to successfully pass the CAMS examination, which is prepared by an independent testing company in collaboration with anti-money laundering experts around the world.

"Earning the CAMS credential is a significant achievement for NetEconomy and its staff because it will provide their clients and business partners around the world with the assurance that they are working with an organization with proven capabilities in this challenging field," said Saskia Rietbroek-Garces, Executive Director of ACAMS.

"Domain expertise can make the difference between a simple software tool and a world class solution offering," said Sebastian Kuntz, CEO of NetEconomy. "With the investment in staff-wide CAMS certifications, NetEconomy goes to the next level to help our customers deter money laundering and terrorist financing activity."
