Lusis Payments, a leading supplier of mission critical payments software today announced the launch of its latest innovation, Tango MarketPlace.
The solution has already been deployed in a number of successful live trials and offers a configurable set of standard TANGO components implemented as an online marketplace. The marketplace is complete with customer registration, merchant onboarding and self-service, including configurable website themes and content for local communities, businesses or individuals who want to buy and sell goods and services and share their experiences through social media.
This front-end solution is backed by an integrated and secure SEPA-compliant payment system, with a delivery logistics tracking mechanism completing the full end-to-end experience. A comprehensive online loyalty solution can also be integrated, as well as full BPM workflow, providing detailed KPI data to facilitate pattern identification, which can be exported in line with current Business Intelligence/CRM standards for further analysis. All of this allows banks to be both customer and merchant centric.
Steve Wright, General Manager at Lusis Payments, explains that the concept was instigated by changes in consumer behaviour towards the traditional media and use of the web. 'Consumers today have different expectations of the services their financial institutions offer them compared with just 2 or 3 years ago. This all began with Web 2.0 and has now become the minimum consumers expect to see. Despite the talk of Bank 2.0 this has until now been difficult to achieve as it has involved the purchase, development, and management of a number of different systems from different vendors to achieve this, usually around 5-6. TANGO MarketPlace, however, now has this functionality available in a single secure payments system. This truly allows financial institutions to capitalise on their unique position in the value chain and truly put themselves at the heart of the retail business.'
