Realex Payments set to partner with Elavon, providing a fully branded gateway solution for online retailers across Europe, along with a suite of dedicated support and sales services.

The deal involves Realex Payments providing:

  • A fully branded, localised, online, multi-channel payment gateway for businesses across the UK and Europe;
  • Dedicated partner resources focused on driving the adoption of the solution across Elavon's markets;
  • Outsourced and localised support functions including resources and tools to support clients and their technical teams.

Providing managed gateway solutions to processors and acquiring banks across Europe is a key element of Realex Payments' growth strategy. This deal is further evidence of the company's success in building strategic partnerships with the leading players in the card processing industry, having signed a managed gateway solution agreement with Global Payments (formerly HSBC Merchant Services) last year.

A strategically led business, it is currently experiencing a period of exponential growth. In the last year revenue in the UK market grew by 95% and their client base doubled to 12,500. This growth was across all markets - direct corporate and business clients as well as managed gateway solutions. The company also recently launched Realex Fire, a new personal payment account enabling users to lodge and withdraw funds, create a circle of people to pay, send and receive payments, operate multiple accounts and get notifications on Facebook.
