HSBC extends Vodafone mobile comms deal

Vodafone announced today a new multi million pound extension to its existing mobile communications contract with HSBC.

Vodafone has worked with HSBC for 20 years and has been re-appointed to manage the mobile communications needs of 21,000 UK employees for a further two years as part of the bank's broader efficiency and effectiveness programme.

Gabriel Pepe, global head of telecommunications and client technologies at HSBC said, "It is important to ensure our employees have the best tools to serve our customers and we believe that this contract extension will meet their needs."

Commenting on the deal Jan Geldmacher CEO, Vodafone Global Enterprise said, "World class businesses need world class mobile communications. We welcome the opportunity to strengthen further our long standing relationship with HSBC."
