SOFGEN Holdings Limited (SOFGEN) and AMRET Microfinance Cambodia (AMRET) are pleased to announce the successful "Go-live" of the latter's T24 MCB (Microfinance and Community Banking) application, implemented by SOFGEN, a worldwide provider of IT solutions for banks.

The system is already in use in 31 branches and provincial offices and is gradually being rolled out to the remaining 102 locations.

"After deciding to acquire T24 as our core banking platform, we looked for the right partner who not only understands the system but also understands microfinance and is flexible enough to adapt to Cambodia's particular cultural environment. SOFGEN's microfinance team came highly recommended," remarked Mr. Dinn Dos, Deputy CEO, AMRET. SOFGEN assembled a team of business and technical engineers drawn from its global consultant pool.

At Head Office, the team carried out requirements analysis, system design, system build, data migration and user training. Further training was delivered to the AMRET IT team, enabling them continue with the deployment of the system to the branch network.

Added Mr. Dinn, "Our system required significant customization, which was built by SOFGEN as part of the project. Thank you to SOFGEN and to the team directly involved. This feat would have been impossible without your commitment."

Tunde Oladele, Chief Executive Officer SOFGEN Africa and Executive Committee Member responsible for Microfinance worldwide, observed, "The AMRET implementation was a challenging project. SOFGEN and the bank worked diligently to overcome language barriers and other cultural differences. We congratulate AMRET for their hard work and tenacity."
