Design

The office decor serves as a reminder that Q2's roots are firmly planted while the company is growing. Key design features include:

• Local, decades-old pecan wood salvaged and used in the design of a conference table, office tables and reception desk.
• Client meeting rooms on the first and third floors follow an Austin theme, with aptly named conference rooms like Broken Spoke, Deep Eddy, and Barton Springs. The fourth floor, where the development and implementation team resides, has sci-fi themed conference rooms, including Vadar and Endor.
• A family room, complete with multiple ping pong tables, where employees are encouraged to visit and interact with team members they don't regularly work alongside. Other amenities include an on-site fitness center, complete with shower facilities; kitchen areas stocked with fruit and other snacks; and a music room, where the abundance of in-house musicians gather and play.
• A mix of collaborative workspaces and private areas for focused thinking. While individual offices are vital for the private requirements of the banking industry, offices were specifically placed so that window areas and views are shared by all. In addition, multiple phone rooms with chairs and tables are available to staff for private meetings and conference calls.

Culture

Q2 has five employee committees: Cultures, Cares, Communications, Green and Wellness. All employees, regardless of how long they have been with the company, are encouraged to participate in a committee of interest to them. The company also has an established leadership development program, a managerial development program and opportunities for both technical- and soft-skill development.

"We look for individuals who not only possess our desired skill set, but who are also a good cultural fit for Q2," said Sherri Manning, vice president of people & places at Q2. "From day one, new hires are an important part of contributing and maintaining the culture that we are so proud of."
