Leading e-commerce specialists Open GI, in conjunction with PowerPlace, have today launched their new online B2C SME e-trading offering - eBroker for PowerPlace.
This latest innovation, available now, allows brokers' access to a single question set quote-and-buy solution via their own branded website.
Nick Giddings, PowerPlace CEO stated: "The SME market is growing and a quarter* of SME's are already purchasing their commercial insurance online. This clearly presents an opportunity for brokers which shouldn't be ignored. What e-Broker for PowerPlace offers a broker is the ability to grow their market share, the agility to stay ahead of the competition and sustain good relations with both their insurers and consumers."
"The simplicity of eBroker for PowerPlace not only fully integrates into back-office systems but links directly into the PowerPlace platform. This offers brokers real time savings, access to multiple products from a range of insurers on a comparative basis. It also supports their e-trading strategy for commercial lines with a simple question set to facilitate and serve more quotes online than ever before." added Giddings.
Simon Hughes, Open GI Sales & Marketing Director further added: "Commercial online trading is certainly evolving and our eBroker for PowerPlace solution responds to the growing demand for brokers who want to/need to trade online. Brokers are responsive to their customers' needs and this solution presents an opportunity for brokers to diversify in a competitive market place.
"Open GI have a wealth of knowledge in the ecommerce arena and we, alongside PowerPlace, aim to support not only the 1,200 + PowerPlace brokers with this product but to offer it wider to the whole of the broker market. The initial interest in eBroker for PowerPlace has been well received, since its initial announcement back in May, and we are working with a number of brands to equip them with the product during the summer period."
