The new tool provides full phone number verification and identifies landline versus mobile phone type at the point of capture, a significant piece of intelligence for companies taking advantage of mobile communication.

"Consumers spend more time on their phones than ever before, and they expect personalized and consistent brand interactions across channels. This means that companies need to focus on improving mobile capabilities," said Thomas Schutz, senior vice president, general manager of Experian QAS. "With mobile source data now available, organizations can opt consumers in to SMS and text-based messaging during the data capture process, ultimately enhancing results from marketing and loyalty campaigns."

According to a recent Experian QAS study, the number of organizations citing mobile as their most important marketing channel continues to grow. With 83 percent of surveyed companies confirming Website traffic from mobile devices, QAS Phone validation becomes an important tool in an omnichannel communication strategy. The tool provides access to data from more than 200 telecommunications and cable providers and leverages the same real-time interactive capabilities featured in all Experian QAS front-end products.
