Tepin Information announced today that Charles River Development has selected its FIX test tool Ki to automate FIX regression testing with its Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS).

After evaluating a number of FIX test tools, Charles River settled on Tepin Information's Ki for its powerful user interface, ease of use and comprehensive FIX protocol coverage.

Ki allows Charles River to test simulated FIX communications (including executions and allocations) through its embedded Cameron Systems' CameronFIX engine. Through simulations with Ki, Charles River's Quality Assurance team is able to certify that both Charles River IMS and CameronFIX are meeting the firm’s product release functionality and quality goals.

"FIX has become an increasingly important part of the investment management process over the last ten years," said Tim Kelly, director of quality assurance at Charles River. "Charles River IMS connects to dozens of execution venues, algorithmic trading brokers, and direct market access partners and automating the regression testing process makes sense. Ki enabled us to improve our pre-release product testing coverage and also speed up our product release cycle."

"Charles River is a significant new customer for Tepin Information as it demonstrates the appeal of the product for software development organizations," said Mark Sipos, president of Tepin Information. "Charles River's reputation as leader in investment management software and its extensive use of FIX makes this a good match. We look forward to working to expand the product to continue to meet Charles River’s needs in the future."

Charles River IMS is a comprehensive software suite for portfolio management (Charles River Manager), order management and trading (Charles River Trader), and real-time securities compliance (Charles River Compliance) that is in use by over 165 of the world’s leading investment managers. The system connects to any FIX 4.0, 4.2, or 4.4 compliant counterparty and supports equity, fixed income, and foreign exchange FIX messaging. Charles River IMS is FIX Certified with FPL for pre-trade, trade, and post-trade processing of fixed income securities; it is currently the only order management system to have completed this certification.

Tepin Information’s Ki provides comprehensive FIX testing to global financial institutions and software development organizations with a turnkey solution to allow them to overcome obstacles in trading system compatibilities and harness the full power of standard protocols in today's trading landscape, allowing both the institution and its customers to achieve their respective goals.
