The broker neutral, institutional outsourced dealing solution is designed to meet an industry trend towards outsourcing from asset managers and owners, as they seek cost efficiencies in the face of heightened regulatory demands and increasing technology expenditure.

Carl James, Managing Director of BNP Paribas Dealing Services UK, said: "The raft of regulatory requirements has, and will have a dramatic impact on markets, market infrastructure and their participants. We continue to see the search for liquidity get ever harder as markets fragment and banks withdraw further from putting balance sheets at risk.

"As Dealing Services solely focuses on this search for liquidity across all markets and all asset types, we are looking to become the dealing solution to buy-side clients' needs. We see a real opportunity to improve investment returns by offering a better-equipped outsourced dealing desk, a new approach to the conventional in-house dealing practices."

James McAleenan, head of UK for BNP Paribas Securities Services, said: "The Dealing Services offer comes at a time when investment firms are facing mounting regulatory pressure. They see rising dealing technology costs, and face increasing challenges for their executions due to increasing market complexity, resulting in scarcity of liquidity and wider spreads. With our solution, clients keep their existing broker panel and relationships, but at the same time improving efficiency and cutting costs."

Dealing Services offers an efficient solution for clients that need to access capital markets. BNP Paribas absorbs the burden of investments in technology required to offer a sophisticated suite of dealing architecture, as well as the skilled and experienced dealing team needed to navigate the complexities of financial markets.

The opening of the London branch of BNP Paribas Dealing Services strengthens BNP Paribas' global offering, as it already has an established presence in Paris and in Asia from theiheir Hong Kong dealing desk.
