Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of payment solutions for financial institutions announces that Rawbank, the leading and most innovative bank in the Democratic Republic of Congo, has selected Clear2Pay's e-Banking solution to revitalize its online and customer loyalty strategy.

Since its inception, ten years ago, Rawbank has become the largest bank by total deposits (+39%) and total assets (35%) in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rawbank relies on a growing network of branches (30 in 2011) providing a local service to retail and corporate clients on the basis of a harmonious development strategy where customer satisfaction takes centre stage.

Rawbank's business strategy relies on customer loyalty on one hand, but also, on continuous innovation of the services offered by the bank. In this approach, Rawbank, which already provided an Internet banking solution to its customers, decided to offer a new client experience by expanding the functional coverage of its solution and increasing the security level of all transactions (with e.g. double electronic signature, international payments, payroll management, cash management, etc.). With a far richer portfolio of online services, Rawbank now has a true competitive advantage both in terms of differentiation and customer retention strategy, but also by the ability to rapidly expand into targeted segments such as SME and employee based services for the private and public sector.

Rawbank chose Clear2Pay's e-Banking solution for the functional richness and its experience in Africa, but moreover the Rawbank team was won over by the flexibility of the multi-channel solution, clearly evolving with market needs and offering a significant competitive advantage.

Joseph Ly, e-Banking Project Manager at Rawbank explains: "The project was carried out quickly and thoroughly with a professional team, truly responsive to our needs. In the first quarter of going live, the solution has proven itself by migrating existing customers to this new level of internet banking, and rejuvenating existing client relationships that had grown cold in the old environment. Also it allowed us to instantly meet the tight legal requirements for national money transfer, while enhancing our image as the most innovative bank in the Democratic Republic of Congo."

Nicolas Métivier, Vice-President of Clear2Pay SEMEA commented: "We are very pleased to have Rawbank among our customers. This partnership with our clients reinforces our motivation to innovate in a constant search to improve our e-Banking solution. It allows our clients to rethink their business model around costs optimization, new revenue generation and brand development."
