Iress is pleased to announce its second major client in the United Kingdom, with Towry's decision to deploy XPlan as its central business software solution.

XPLAN will provide Towry, a leading wealth advice firm, with an advanced client management and financial planning capability and will support its business across its 18 offices nationwide.

Towry's implementation of XPLAN is already underway, and the solution is expected to go live in strategic stages during 2013.

In the second quarter, Towry will be the first UK client to deploy XTOOLS+, which will support core services for Towry, including comprehensive and strategic lifetime cashflow modelling.

The remaining focus during 2013 will be embedding Towry's proprietary knowledge into XPLAN. Already well advanced, the XPLAN capability will support the delivery of Towry's client proposition in a compliant manner.

David Percy, Towry's chief operating officer, said "Towry's technology replacement project was motivated by a need to future proof its advice preparation and client data management capabilities."

"Bringing XPLAN into our business will allow Towry to strategically position itself as a market leader with an operating model that will ensure exceptional advice and service solutions continue to be provided to our clients," he said.

Having considered existing UK vendors and some US names, Towry performed a detailed evaluation of XPLAN, and were impressed by the breadth of functionality and flexibility the software offered, as well as IRESS' market knowledge and commitment to the UK market.

Mark Loosmore, IRESS' Director of Business Development in the UK said "Towry is a wellestablished UK wealth advice business. It plans to drive forward during 2013 by building on its reputation and developing its core strengths with assistance from IRESS. We are delighted that IRESS has been selected by this progressive and leading business."

Andrew Walsh, IRESS Managing Director said, "The last twelve months has been very rewarding as we make ddifferentiating progress in the UK, a credit to our people and product suite."

Walsh adds, "The selection of IRESS and XPLAN by Towry is important as it underlines the competitiveness and relevance of XPLAN in the UK market, and continues our progress in the region. Beyond this we continue to see a healthy pipeline of opportunities stimulated by the need for integration, efficient advice, and effective oversight demanded by the new paradigm set in the UK by RDR."
