Everlink Payment Services Inc. is pleased to announce that Affinity Credit Union - one of the top 10 credit unions in Canada - has begun issuing customizable Interac Flash enabled debit cards in their branches by utilizing the Everlink Instant Card Issuance (ICI) solution.
Interac Flash is a contactless enhancement of Interac Debit that allows cardholders to make a payment by simply holding their card up to a supporting reader. ICI is a web-based, turn-key solution for the on-demand issuance of fully personalized EMV chip debit cards. It is the only solution of its kind in use at Canadian financial institutions today.
As a result of this development, Affinity's members will be able to actively participate in the creation of their own personal payment card. This includes additional features such as the ability to select a PIN immediately after the card is produced and the option to select the card's image/design (this feature is scheduled to be introduced later in 2013.)
