Fair Isaac Corporation (NYSE:FIC) today announced that it is working with HP to deliver high-value analytic solutions through an open HP technology infrastructure for an improved customer experience.

Fair Isaac's industry-standard analytic solutions for originations, fraud and customer management, combined with HP's market-leading capabilities in retail banking and consumer payments, are designed to help businesses provide better and faster service at every point of customer interaction, while minimizing cost, risk and fraud. The integration of Fair Isaac's end-to-end customer lifecycle management solutions on HP infrastructure allows financial institutions to manage customer performance at various stages of maturity.

"This alliance brings complementary capabilities and powerful benefits together for the key customer industries that HP and Fair Isaac share," said Gresh Brebach, vice president of corporate development at Fair Isaac. "Financial services companies need a choice of solutions and technology to achieve maximum business agility with minimum cost and risk. This relationship creates an important opportunity to bring our customers more options and broader access to the world's most advanced analytic applications. Fair Isaac analytic solutions add precise, actionable business insights, enabling businesses to more effectively manage decisions and improve risk management, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction."

Financial services providers using HP systems will now be able to access the industry-standard fraud detection capabilities of Fair Isaac's Falcon(TM) Fraud Manager, which is used to protect more than 450 million active payment card accounts worldwide. The relationship also includes Falcon One(TM) system, Fair Isaac's new solution for managing multiple types of fraud across the enterprise using a single solution.

"HP and Fair Isaac's combined market presence in consumer payments and retail banking makes this alliance a natural fit," said Bob Lyons, worldwide head of Consumer Payment Solutions at HP. "HP gains access to Fair Isaac's standard-setting analytics and decision-making technologies, which allows us to deliver unprecedented value to our customers by helping them address key issues of risk and fraud management. The availability of these applications on a wide range of HP platforms would provide customers with several deployment options."

In addition to Falcon and Falcon One, the Fair Isaac solutions suite also includes TRIAD(TM) adaptive control technology, which is used to manage 65 percent of the world's credit cards; Capstone® Decision Manager and Capstone Decision Accelerator, which enable a fast, efficient, automated customer account origination process; and Fair Isaac's Debt Manager(TM) solution, a leading end-to-end collections and recovery software platform and service.

Most Fair Isaac applications currently run on HP-UX for HP 9000 (PA-RISC-based) servers and other versions of UNIX. As part of the agreement, Fair Isaac will conditionally port to and provide on-going support for its customer lifecycle solutions, including Falcon, TRIAD, Capstone and Debt Manager on HP-UX 11i for Integrity (Intel Itanium-based) servers. Other ports will be market driven, if necessary.

Fair Isaac's Enterprise Decision Management (EDM) solutions, featuring the industry-leading Blaze Advisor rules management technology, will be the engine for integrated solutions that apply analytics and automated decisioning capability across the customer value chain.

The relationship builds on successful activity between Fair Isaac and HP that began in the late 1990s, when the companies collaborated on implementing several innovative analytics solutions, primarily using Blaze Advisor, on HP platforms for large enterprises in banking, telecommunications and retail.
