Smolensky Bank selects Tieto card suite

Tieto and Smolensky Bank (Russia) have signed a deal to develop the bank's payment card business by implementing a full in-house solution based on Tieto's Card Suite products.

The solution will allow the Bank to perform all necessary functions to issue and acquire payment cards, including such business applications as Card Suite ATM Management, Fraud Detection, Dispute Management, E-Commerce with 3-D issuing and acquiring, Money Transfer Service, as well as a number of different interfaces to ensure full support of the Bank's infrastructure.

With Tieto's Card Suite solution Smolensky Bank will be able to offer their customers top quality products and services, promoting them as an important player of the Russian payment cards market. Moreover, the Bank will have the opportunity to enhance their service portfolio simply by adding different Card Suite functionalities as their volumes grow and the necessity arises, ensuring continuous flexibility and convenience for their customers.

Nadezda Levina, Payment systems department manager, Moscow branch, Smolensky Bank says: "Tieto's solution will enable us to develop our payment card business by increasing product portfolio and service availability. That will consequently lead to higher customer satisfaction and stronger position in market in the future."

Maris Ozolins, Director of Cards, Tieto Financial Services, adds: "Smolensky Bank already has the appropriate infrastructure to build up its payment card business and Tieto's Card Suite business applications are the most suitable basis for the Bank's future developments. Moreover, I can see how our cooperation will result in a successful and prosperous business."
