Fime has provided consultancy and testing services to Posiflex Technology Inc. - a global leading manufacturer in point of sale (POS) hardware solutions - which has resulted in the Posiflex CC-1000 Contactless Card Payment Reader receiving the highest industry certifications prior to market launch.

Posiflex has developed the CC-1000 Contactless Card Reader to meet the needs of the ever-growing contactless payments market. By appointing advanced testing provider FIME to deliver consultancy, testing and certification services, Posiflex had confidence that the product could be brought to market efficiently and successfully.

Working in partnership with FIME, the Posiflex CC-1000 Contactless Card Reader has achieved certifications for EMVCo (Level 1 and Level 2), MasterCard (PayPass M/Chip v2.1) and Visa payWave (VCPS v2.1.1).

"Contactless payment technology is gaining traction," says Owen Chen, President and CEO at Posiflex Technology Inc. "It is vital that Posiflex can support its clients with a secure contactless payment solution that meets the highest level of industry certification. Developing a new product to such robust and complex standards in a short timeframe, however, is no easy task. In this regard, FIME's expertise was essential to guide us through the technical interoperability requirements and ensure we achieved the time-to-market goal set."

Arnaud Peninon, Director APAC at FIME, adds: "FIME has vast experience in the advanced testing of payment solutions. We were delighted to advise Posiflex through the contactless standards landscape to ensure the terminal was brought to market quickly and performs as intended. We are certified to provide testing and laboratory services for a whole range of international, regional and national payment systems and pleased to share this knowledge and portfolio of services with our customers."
