Avelo, the UK's leading provider of technology solutions to the financial services market, has launched a dedicated G-day Focus Centre on its market leading Exchange Portal to help advisers understand changes to providers' products being planned in response to the Gender Directive which comes into force on 21st December 2012.
The Focus Centre is conceived as a one-stop-shop for advisers looking to guide clients on pricing changes and other implications of G-day on annuities and protection products. The information hub can be accessed directly via the Exchange Portal's home page and enables users to:
- gain access to up to the minute G-day news updates in one centralised place
- compare gender specific or gender neutral prices across the full range of providers and alert them to switching dates (planned throughout November and right up to 21st December)
- link directly to relevant information on provider extranets, saving significant time on searching for information
Paul Yates, Strategy and Product Development Director Avelo, said: "Given the monumental effort that most advisers are currently undertaking to ensure they are RDR compliant, there's a real risk that significant G-day changes to annuities and protection will go under the radar.
"Avelo's Focus Centre aims to help improve the situation by providing a comprehensive, up to the minute précis of news and pricing information direct to advisers during the run up to the implementation of the Gender Directive. Accessible direct from the adviser's desk top, it aims to bring advisers quickly up to speed on the latest developments so they can help their clients make an informed choice on annuity or insurance purchase."
