The system allows marketing and sales professionals to quickly assemble content from a variety of sources and deliver customized documents, rapidly, in response to client needs. By incorporating varied data sources, across its enterprise, T. Rowe Price is gaining the ability to cut costs, streamline business processes, ensure brand integrity, and efficiently manage tasks.

T. Rowe Price enterprise architect, Paul Macek comments, "Integrating IBM's Content Management technology into our existing DeskNet ContentWelder 4 platform gives us a scalable foundation for our enterprise publishing architecture. The seamless integration creates enormous opportunity to dynamically assemble and brand client communications. Our high performance teams can now provide clients with more timely and personally relevant communications with this architecture."

The IBM and DeskNet solution is the foundation of T. Rowe Price's enterprise publishing and content management initiatives. The new solution tightly integrates the systems that support content authoring, conditioning, management, aggregation, dynamic composition, and business line personalization. T. Rowe Price will now store, capture, share, and repurpose content including office documents, xml, pdfs, and other digital images; in order to dynamically create customer communications on demand.

Previously, financial services, marketing, and customer communications activities were distributed along individual business lines. Now, with the combined IBM and DeskNet content management capabilities -- organizations have the ability to consolidate all customer communication activities onto a single platform. Based on open standards, content repositories, advanced document management capabilities, and Web technologies and services, this solution can be deployed across any technology base.

"In the competitive financial services market, DeskNet understands that the customer is king and content is currency," notes Brian Fitzsimons, President DeskNet Inc. "Our technologies are designed to help organizations personalize their client communications, getting messages out quickly, accurately, and more efficiently than ever before."
