Leading independent specialist broker, BMS Group, announced today that it has chosen Sequel to run its insurance and reinsurance broking systems in the London market, the USA and Bermuda.
BMS will replace all its legacy systems with just one running on Sequel's Eclipse Broking software. The implementation, supported by Sequel's business and technical consultants, will begin now and go live later in 2012.
Phil Hill, Chief Information Officer at BMS Group, says: "We were looking for a modern and powerful system to replace our old in-house software and Sequel were able to satisfy our many and exacting requirements. We needed something that would run our USA, Bermuda and London market operations without any maintenance on our side, allow us to take current and likely future regulatory demands in our stride and to help us increase the breadth and depth of our business offering in our core market places. We have ambitious targets and the new system will help us grow to plan. The system will also encompass our planned Sydney operation once it opens. Most important to the success of the implementation is the approach to change management, to ensure that all changes are sustainable before moving on to the next stage. Sequel understand this approach, and fully support it with their project management style. We expect Sequel to be partners in the exciting technological developments at BMS in the future."
Michael Graham, Sequel's Sales and Marketing Director, says: "This news is of particular importance to the market; this is one of the first - if not the first - London market/Bermuda/US broking implementations planned on such a scale. And it is significant that a growing market player should entrust their system to Sequel.
"BMS are moving on to a world class system that will allow them to concentrate on their core business without having to worry about what's happening under the bonnet - Sequel will see to that." Graham concludes.
