Hibernia Atlantic, a provider of global capacity services, announces that CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, is a new Point of Presence (PoP) on its Global Financial Network (GFN).

Hibernia is now able to provide direct, ultra low latency connectivity up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet into CME Group's new data center located in Aurora, Illinois.

With more than 428,000 square feet, CME Group's world class data center houses its advanced trading match engines for its CME Globex platform, the fastest-global electronic trading systems for futures and options.

With access to over 60 global exchanges and high frequency trading access points around the world, the GFN was custom designed to support financial firms, exchanges, traders, market data providers and capital markets. The GFN platform was engineered on top of the Hibernia Network, which has over 120 PoPs spanning the United States, Canada, Europe and the Pacific Rim.

"Serving the risk management needs of global clients, CME Group requires secure and ultra fast high capacity services," comments Kathy Perone, Chief Operating Officer for Hibernia Atlantic. "By connecting to Hibernia's GFN, CME Group extends its reach into major North American, European and Asian destinations across our multi-gigabit network."

The GFN supports industry leading performance and rapid installation with 5 day turn-ups between any of Hibernia's GFN PoPs across the globe.
