Developed by Tagit, a leading Singapore-based mobile solutions company, Maybank's mobile banking application suite adopts a completely new design approach for mobile banking - and is the first to deliver innovative personalization features and connection to social media platforms to customers.

Maybank's mobile banking channel will offer their customers the convenience of performing account enquiries, bill payments and online funds transfers on-the-go via their mobile devices. Maybank's mBanking app is also the first and only mobile service in the industry that allows customers to perform cross-market transactions such as bill payments and funds transfers from Singapore to Malaysia.

Mr Lim Kuo Siang, Head of Information Technology and Virtual Banking at Maybank Singapore said: "Through the new app, we aim to enrich our customer's experience with us, underscoring our vision to humanize financial services across Asia and commitment to address customers' evolving mobile lifestyle needs. The dynamic features in this mobile app created with Tagit technology allows us to engage with our customers beyond the brick and mortar functionalities of banking."

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Navtej Singh ("Naffi"), CEO& Co-Founder of Tagit, said, "Tagit is delighted to support leading banks such as Maybank by providing a secure, reliable and scalable platform that allows them to give their customers great user experience, which will in turn enhance appreciation for the brand."

Tagit's platform enables dynamic changes in the app without the hassle of customers upgrading or reinstalling the app. It provides customers with an advanced user experience that is unrivalled in the marketplace. The adoption of the platform by some twenty banks in ten countries across three continents is testimony to its mainstream adoption by financial institutions.

On top of its core banking services, Maybank's new mobile app also integrates personal features that will allow users to customize the loading page with their pictures as reminders of their personal savings goals. Tagit's Mobeix platform also enables Maybank to inject smart and fun add-ons like Instant Rewards, a "Spin-a-Wheel" game that rewards customers with instant prizes and freebies. The app also provides latest news and updates on product deals straight from the bank's Facebook and Twitter pages.

Through the app's location-based features, customers are able to conveniently locate Maybank's branches, ATMs and allied networks like the ATM5, AXS and iNETS kiosks and instantly enjoy the benefits of finding the latest Maybank promotions from participating retailers and outlets.

To promote better user experience, Maybank, with the help of Tagit, has adopted an innovative approach to the look and navigational design of the app, differentiating it from existing mBanking apps in the market. Running on a single mobility platform, Tagit's solution has given Maybank the ability to introduce a wide range of new offerings across various mobile phone models and devices rapidly and efficiently.

Maybank's mobile banking app is available for download in the Apple App Store starting August 24, 2012. With the rollout of the new mobile app, Maybank has plans to enhance the mobile banking platform by delivering more rewarding and convenient banking services to customers.
