As a Visa accredited mobile product test laboratory, RFI Global can perform functional testing of mobile handsets, Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC), microSD and embedded secure element combinations. They can do this in compliance with the Visa Mobile Contactless Payment Specification to ensure mobile products support Visa payWave payment transactions.

RFI Global is the only test laboratory capable of offering full comprehensive "component" testing and security evaluation services with EMV Level 1, Visa VMPA and all payment schemes and EMVCo security evaluation.

Jean-Luc Khaou, Head of Payments & Security, RFI Global, commented: "We are proud to be a formally recognized Mobile Payment laboratory for Visa. By joining UL we can now offer our customers a comprehensive transaction security service portfolio in functional testing, security evaluation, consulting, test services, training and test tools. This Visa accreditation enables us to provide unmatched value to all Mobile Payment industry stakeholders in every region through our Mobile Test Centre."

RFI Global, together with Collis and Witham Laboratories, was recently acquired by UL. This makes UL the world's first trusted knowledge partner of end-to-end transaction security services for the mobile, payment eTicketing and ID management sectors on a global scale. RFI Global, Witham Laboratories and Collis will rebrand to UL by the 1st of November.
