CreditCall, a leading provider of EMV payments software, announced today that it has joined the American-based EMV Academy, helping to drive US migration to the more secure Chip based payments system.
CreditCall's EMV Level 2 Kernel products will now feature in all EMV Academy workshops.
EMV Academy is a US-based training and payments consultancy committed to supporting the seamless transition to a Chip and PIN-based payments system in the United States, from magnetic stripe swipe cards. Chip cards are widely used around the world, and have been hailed as dramatically reducing card fraud. America is the last of the G20 nations to adopt the payment standard.
As part of the EMV Academy CreditCall will be providing expertise on Level 2 Kernel software, to help card reader manufacturers and terminal integrators to better understand EMV compliance and help them make the transition, which is quickly sweeping the US market.
"CreditCall is an innovator in the world of EMV based payments and it is quickly proving to be a great asset to the U.S. banking and payments industry as the U.S. transitions to EMV," commented Stewart Chalmers, Executive Director, EMV Academy. "The addition of CreditCall to the EMV Academy fits perfectly with the Academy's goal to provide U.S. acquirers, issuers, merchants and others with the training and education they need to make the EMV migration seamless. Providing access to the best EMV technology is one key component to achieving that goal. CreditCall's market leading EMV L2 Kernels will be a great addition to the EMV Academy curriculum."
Jeremy Gumbley, CTO at CreditCall, added: "With more than a decade of EMV migration experience in the UK, Russia, South America and Asia we are confident our expertise can contribute to the smooth and efficient move to EMV in America. The EMV Academy is the obvious partner to help drive the change through training, education and technology."
