Xenomorph, the analytics and data management solutions provider to global financial institutions, today announced the release of new Data Analysis and QL+ Explorer add-ins for the TimeScape Workbench, enhancing the system's reporting and charting capabilities and introducing new interactive heatmaps for visual data validation and decision support.
Through the enhancements, users will be able to configure default charts and analytical functions to be applied to each asset class, enabling better decision support and greater automation for assessing data quality. The charting capabilities cover all datasets, from simple prices to more complex objects such as, spread curves and volatility surfaces.
"By providing the reporting, analysis and visualisation capabilities within one centralised data management framework, staff from all departments can understand data more quickly and share their expertise in data quality," says Brian Sentance, CEO, Xenomorph. "We continue to focus on providing our clients with the tools needed to better manage, explore and understand data quickly. Reporting at far more detailed levels of data granularity is the one constant across all regulation currently, and this latest addition to TimeScape will help our clients meet this challenge regardless of how regulatory requirements evolve over time."
TimeScape's new heatmap capabilities enable custom analytics and validations to be integrated into a visual view of large datasets, allowing business users to zoom in on unusual regions of data quickly and focus on potential data exceptions and outliers. In addition to standard time series charting, visualisation of more complex objects, such as historical volatility surfaces, can be set up easily and quickly for all users. These visualisation capabilities are also available to the more technically advanced users of TimeScape in the new query explorer functionality, enabling viewing and charting of the most complex of result sets.
