Interactive Data Corporation today announced a new version of FutureSource Workstation, its platform for the energy, commodities and futures markets.

This release, Version 3.4, features integrated trading capabilities with more than 50 Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs) and 40 worldwide exchanges, and introduces key content and functionality enhancements.

FutureSource Workstation now offers single-click trading execution by supported FCMs via an interface with Continuum's trade order execution system. FutureSource Trader provides order routing connectivity with multiple clearing firms and exchanges including multiple accounts functionality -- all from within the FutureSource desktop application. Clients benefit from a reduction in the cost and complexity of doing business with a range of vendors and a lower-cost exchange fee structure.

"In the current economic climate, there is an amplified need for solutions that seamlessly and intuitively meet market requirements while increasing cost efficiency," said Emmanuel Doe, president, Trading Solutions Group at Interactive Data. "Delivering quick and easy access to fast and reliable third-party trade order routing alongside quotes, charts and news, this latest version of FutureSource is an essential platform for our clients who trade commodities. It combines the convenience of FutureSource Workstation trade integration with the breadth and quality of our global data, and the power and flexibility of a tabbed workspace and customized modules."

Key content and functionality enhancements to FutureSource Workstation also include: EOX Holdings content; market depth from NYMEX, COMEX and the CME; ICE Implied Bids and Offers; charting enhancements and new studies; futures auto-listing and rolling futures spread auto-listing capabilities; a futures spread matrix window; and maps covering Argentina weather forecasts.

"We are excited to work together with Interactive Data and look forward to offering our market data through FutureSource Workstation," said Jeff Shipp, Director of Sales and Marketing for EOX Holdings. "It is critical for those involved in the energy trading market, which continues to increase in speed and complexity, to employ tools like FutureSource to help identify and anticipate opportunities."
