This allows Witham, as one of the few service providers with this accreditation, to offer customers PCI DSS compliance services at a lower cost.

Witham is an expert in the payment industry, and provides products and services related to compliance with standards, such as PCI DSS. Together with secure technology market leaders Collis and RFI Global - both recently acquired by UL -Witham delivers end-to-end transaction security solutions on a global scale.

Point-to-point encryption (P2PE) is a program that was initiated by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) to support PCI DSS compliance. The P2PE standard is a comprehensive set of requirements focused on providing the requisite security requirements necessary to support the deployment of secure P2PE solutions. Two of Witham's staff members have recently been certified as Qualified Security Assessors, meaning that they can perform P2PE accreditation for customers.

Mario Sist, Operations Manager at Witham Laboratories, comments: "Being one of the very few companies in the world to be certified to deliver accreditation is very exciting. It is great that we can now offer even more value to our customers. Merchants, with P2PE in place, can significantly reduce their PCI DSS compliance requirements and costs. The accreditation confirms Witham's dedication to PCI standards, and adds to our mission of building confidence in payment systems. The world is moving to solutions that make transactions more secure, and this accomplishment shows that UL, through Witham Laboratories, is making the world a safer place."
