Check Point, the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, has announced that FXCM (NYSE:FXCM), a global online provider of foreign exchange trading and related services to retail and institutional customers worldwide, has deployed the Check Point 12000 and 4000 series appliances to secure the link between its data centers, headquarters, remote offices and liquidity sources.

The Check Point appliances provide FXCM with flexibility, high-performance throughput and multi-layered protection in a comprehensive and cost-effective package.

"Check Point's security solution enables our entire network stack to operate in a single ecosystem," said Ryan Leonard, director of production engineering at FXCM. "The management interface gives us a single pane of glass to monitor our security posture across many different tools at once -- we can't get that anywhere else."

The Check Point Software Blade Architecture provides FXCM with integrated security tools to protect the company from a proliferation of ongoing and emerging threats. The software blades are easily managed from a single, centralized console, and additional protections can be added without the cost of new hardware. This saves FXCM deployment and management time and significantly reduces its hardware expenditures.
The Check Point solution also ensures that FXCM meets and exceeds government regulatory compliance standards, such as PCI, SOX and other regulations. FXCM leverages a number of Check Point Software Blades including; Firewall, IPS, IPsec VPN, DLP, and Application Control.

"With our distributed network, it's nice to have the ability to enable additional security technologies, which would normally be a whole different appliance, with the single click of button," added Leonard.

The Check Point 12000 and 4000 series appliances support a range of security solutions to help businesses overcome the countless number of threats encountered in today's IT environments - integrating more security functions, while improving bandwidth and accelerating network speeds. The security appliances are designed to optimize Check Point's award-winning Software Blade Architecture and support the company's vision for 3D security, combining policies, people and enforcement for unbeatable protection. With advanced multi-core technology, customers benefit from outstanding performance providing businesses with the trusted security they need and the performance levels they want.

"We trust Check Point as a company and their products; there is nothing in the industry today that comes close," concluded Leonard.
