The D-PAS EMV specification is being rolled out internationally, affording issuers, acquirers, merchants and cardholders the additional security and functional benefits that EMV offers over magnetic stripe cards. EMV's inherent security and enhanced configurability presents an unprecedented opportunity for card product innovation to meet the growing demands of cardholders in a competitive market. ASTREX now supports the deployment of D-PAS by offering a real-time end-to-end EMV payment emulation environment allowing Issuers, Acquirers and Payment Service Providers to independently simulate, test and validate the full range of payment transactions for card-scheme EMV compliance. ASTREX offers automated transaction-based testing throughout the product lifecycle to increase testing efficiency within your organization, reducing development costs and mitigating the risks of interoperability and infield failure.

"Customers around the world are seeking to maximize the opportunity presented by EMV to enhance the consumer payments experience. The qualification of ASTREX confirms Acquirer Systems' commitment to supporting Diners Club International franchises worldwide", said Fergal Molloy, CEO Acquirer Systems. "Now our ASTREX platform can help Diners Club International franchises to successfully migrate to EMV and enhance the speed and quality of on-going product delivery and compliance", he added.

"A cornerstone of our emerging payments strategy is to enable EMV amongst our issuers, acquirers, and direct connect merchants worldwide. Capitalising on EMV will allow our network partners to leverage next generation payments security capabilities and will ensure global payments interoperability to an increasingly discerning customer base", said Troy Bernard, Global Head of Chip Payments, Discover Network.
