Western Union signs MidFlorida Credit Union

The Western Union Company (WU), a leader in global payments, and MidFlorida Credit Union, one of the fastest growing credit unions in Central Florida, announced an agreement today to offer consumers Western Union global money-transfer and expedited bill payment services across MidFlorida's network of more than 30 branches.

"Western Union services will allow MIDFLORIDA members a reliable and convenient method of moving money from place to place and person to person," said Michael Cheeseman, senior vice president, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union. "People live further apart than ever before - with time and distance creating a gap between family and businesses with whom they may support or purchase goods from. The addition of Western Union, and its broad suite of products and services, will allow our members to send and receive domestic or international money transfers or make urgent payments conveniently and quickly. It'll be just another way for our members to stay financially connected to family or a business when necessary."

Through the agreement with Western Union, MIDFLORIDA Credit Union members will have the ability to send and receive domestic or international money transfers with funds accessible for pay out at more than 500,000 Western Union Agent locations in more than 200 countries and territories, and make urgent payments conveniently and quickly to an extensive biller network.
